Weathered was built with your privacy as the foundational principle. We believe that your personal weather journal is exactly that—personal. This policy explains how we handle your information (by not collecting it) and how we use device permissions.

2. Data Collection

• Zero Data Collection: We do not collect, harvest, or transmit any of your personal data, journal entries, or usage statistics to our servers.
• Local Storage: All data you generate within Weathered—including your daily notes, historical records, and future climate reports—is stored locally and exclusively on your device.

3. Location Permissions

To provide you with accurate local weather conditions, Weathered requires access to your device's location.

• Purpose: Location data is used strictly in real-time to fetch current weather data from our weather provider.
• No Retention or Tracking: Your location coordinates are never saved, stored, tracked, or used for any commercial or non-commercial purposes beyond the immediate retrieval of the weather forecast.

4. Third-Party Services

While Weathered does not collect your data, the app does communicate with a third-party weather API to fetch meteorological data based on your current coordinates. No personally identifiable information or journal history is ever shared with these third-party services.

5. Changes to this Policy

If we ever change the way Weathered handles data (for example, if we introduce optional iCloud syncing in the future), we will update this policy and notify you within the app.
